Summary

Join Muon Space's dynamic team as a People Operations Coordinator! This role requires 3-5 years of HR or People Operations experience and involves supporting the People Operations Lead in daily HR functions. You will manage employee lifecycle processes, maintain HR systems, assist with benefits administration, and handle employee inquiries. Success in this position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. You'll partner with managers and cross-functional teams to foster a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable with HR fundamentals and adept at navigating various HR systems.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience preferred in HR, People Operations, or similar function
  • Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employees, handling inquiries with professionalism, discretion, and a high degree of autonomy
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across tasks and documentation
  • Effectively manages multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Comfortable navigating tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Rippling; quickly adapts to new systems and workflows
  • Maintains a working knowledge of employment laws, I-9 compliance requirements, and HR best practices to support compliant and consistent operations

Responsibilities

  • Support the employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, and leaves of absence
  • Maintain and audit HR systems and employee records (e.g., Rippling)
  • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee questions
  • Maintain documents such as offer letters, I-9 verifications, and policy acknowledgments
  • Respond to HR-related inquiries, and confidential situations when needed
  • Assist with compliance tracking (e.g., training, employment eligibility, state law updates)
  • Support ad hoc projects such as policy updates, audit prep, and reporting
  • Partner with managers and cross-functional teams to provide a positive employee experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a start-up or high-growth company (as we value fast-paced execution)
  • Exposure to global HR operations or contractors (as we scale)
  • Interest inΒ  scalingHR processes and documentation and continuous improvement
