You will support the People team in enhancing employee experience, working on projects to keep the team engaged and connected. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, and collaborative. This internship offers opportunities to build practical HR skills in a fun, purpose-driven environment. You will assist with various tasks, including reviewing job descriptions, planning company events, updating the internal team portal, supporting recruiting efforts, and coordinating team communications. The role also involves managing the engagement survey process and planning quarterly social events.

Requirements

  • Must be a rising junior or senior at an accredited university
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with attention to detail
  • Creative thinker who enjoys coming up with new ideas and solutions
  • Comfortable collaborating with team members via video calls and messaging platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral, written, non-verbal, intuitive, psychic et al)
  • Must be willing to fall in love with our products, meditate with our team and have fun while we work!

Responsibilities

  • Help review, edit, and standardize job descriptions across the company to ensure clarity and consistency
  • Assist with brainstorming, organizing, and coordinating details for our company holiday celebration and annual team retreat
  • Support the People team in updating and enhancing our internal team portal to make it more user-friendly and engaging
  • Help organize and track recruiting efforts, assist with job postings, and support candidate communication as needed
  • Coordinate small gifts, notes, or recognition items to help keep our distributed team feeling connected and appreciated
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of the High Tide team newsletter by gathering content, drafting updates, and coordinating final edits
  • Oversee the engagement survey process, including timeline management, logistics, and preparing related communication materials
  • Assist with planning and executing quarterly social events and the Sea Star of the Quarter recognition program, including nominations, announcements, and any associated gifts or celebrations

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) is a plus

Benefits

$20 per hour for 10+ hours a week
