Join Shakepay's People team as a People Operations Specialist and own the employee experience for our distributed team. You will support recruitment and employee branding efforts, managing the full recruitment cycle for entry-level to intermediate positions. This role involves 50% recruitment and 50% People Ops responsibilities, requiring you to work from our Toronto office four days a week. You will also be responsible for managing the culture calendar, maintaining HR systems, delivering onboarding experiences, and ensuring office operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of experience in People Operations and Recruitment in a tech or startup environment. Requirements
- You have 2-4 years experience in People Operations and Recruitment in a tech or startup environment under your belt

Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process for entry-level to intermediate level positions, owning the full recruitment cycle, including intake calls, sourcing and screening, interview management, and offer presentations
- Own the culture calendar; create, implement and organize in-person and virtual team events that continue to influence in-person relationships, and suggest resources, processes, or activities that enhance employee experience
- Help maintain HR systems, such as Rippling & Lattice, ensuring accurate employee records and data entry
- Deliver an outstanding onboarding experience, from creating and managing new hire paperwork, scheduling orientation, and providing a point of contact for ongoing support for new hires
- Maintain a well-organized office inventory with necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring all areas throughout the office are well-stocked and well-maintained; managing purchases or repairs as necessary
- Ensure Shakepay is Health and Safety compliant across locations
- Supervise all areas pertaining to reception (mail, deliveries, shipments, guests) serving as main point of contact for building management and security, including service requests and all facility-related issues
