Photo Intern

Summary

Join Headout's media team as a Photo Intern and help shape how travelers experience the world through imagery. You will gain hands-on experience with AI-driven automation projects, learn Photoshop scripting, and create standardized media templates. Collaborate with senior team members and cross-functional partners to establish a scalable media framework. This fully remote, paid internship in India is for a minimum of 6 months, with potential extension. The role offers opportunities in visual storytelling, global collaboration, workflow automation, AI-driven innovation, and potential transition to a full-time position.

Requirements

• Some projects or work experience in photography, photo editing, media management, or visual arts
• A keen interest in telling stories through images, with any past projects or portfolio to back it up
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Photoshop or similar editing tools
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to clearly explain visual decisions to non-creatives
• Capable of maintaining structure, following guidelines, and keeping digital assets well-organized
• A willingness to spot and fix small issues, ensuring images meet both visual and factual standards
• Able to juggle multiple tasks, stay open to feedback, and maintain a positive attitude
• Naturally extroverted, you are enthusiastic about working with others, asking questions, and engaging with colleagues in a remote environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in working with teams and partners worldwide, learning how to gather and maintain high-quality media assets
• Help curate and edit images that capture the essence of travel experiences and influence how people perceive them
• Develop AI-driven sourcing, Photoshop scripts, and templates to boost efficiency and ensure brand consistency
• Experiment with advanced prompting techniques on GPT-based tools to assist photo research and sequencing
• Help establish a scalable framework to provide media as a service to our stakeholders and refine workflows to ensure high-quality visuals for our users

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred if you are pursuing or recently completed a degree in Media Studies, Visual Arts, Design, Communication, or a related field
• Proficiency with AI image tools such as MidJourney and Stable Diffusion
• Experience in creating and using scripts and automation within Photoshop is a big plus
