What does a Box Consulting Placement Student actually do?

To meet the fast-growing needs of the enterprise, it is imperative that we provide world class professional services to make a successful leap to the cloud. Digital Transformation is on the mind of every forward-thinking CIO and Box Consulting is here to help. We work to fundamentally change the way industries and organisations collaborate on content.

In this role you build collaborative relationships with a range of customers spanning industries through implementation leadership and technical project management. You will support a limited portfolio of deployments from pre-sales to project close-out. You work closely with our customer implementation teams and others to identify content use-cases and overcome the challenges of moving to a cloud environment.

You are a customer advocate and are motivated by helping others succeed. You listen well, ask questions, and translate business needs into something that you can execute against. You help support & build trusting relationships and support customers with how to improve their digital transformation strategy.

You’ll get a chance to work across all of the core Box Consulting practice areas:

Technical Consulting:

• On any day, you could be helping advise an enterprise on how to design an application for a custom document vault or helping a customer migrate millions of files into Box.  The next, you may be advising another on how to best integrate Box into their custom CRM.

• Getting to grips with the more technical dimensions of the Box product portfolio and teaming to bring to life innovative techncial solutions to assist customers address real business challenges.

Implementation Consulting:

• You will be a customer advocate and are motivated by helping others succeed. You listen well, ask questions, and translate business needs into something that you can execute against. You help support & build trusting relationships and support customers with how to improve their digital transformation strategy.

• Project management support working as part of a team with diverse skills, methods, and communication styles. Your customer follow up is impeccable, and you don’t let anything slip through the cracks.

• Preparing, supporting and potentially delivering customer facing presentations.

Change Management & Education:

• You’ll help support and potentially lead virtual and in person classroom customer training sessions.

• You’ll build education curriculum in consultation with our clients to drive change and business results.

• Drafting internal customer comms to position and drive the value proposition of Box for specific organisations

WHO YOU ARE

• To be eligible you must be an undergraduate student in a placement year course returning to study Autumn 2026, you also will need to have the right to work in UK already in place.
• Communication: you are known for building strong relationships in and outside of your core studies.
• Drive: you demonstrate a level of resilience to overcome objections and have a “can do” attitude to delivering personal goals.
• Attention to detail: everybody makes mistakes, even the most detail oriented employee. You will be detail oriented by nature, able to fail fast and prioritise effectively ensuring quality on sometimes tight deadlines.
• If you are studying something Business, Management or Technology related it would be a plus, however from experience you don’t need a specific degree background to be successful as a placement student at Box.
