Summary
Join SaaS Academy as a Podcast Producer and contribute to the creation of engaging, world-class podcasts. Working remotely from Latin America, you will be responsible for the entire podcast production lifecycle, from research and recording to editing, publishing, and promotion. This independent contractor role requires proven experience in podcast production, proficiency in audio editing software, and excellent communication skills. You will collaborate with a global team, manage multiple projects, and contribute to the growth of the SaaS Academy podcast audience. The position offers flexible hours within a specified time range and a competitive compensation package.
Requirements
- Be proficient in English (C1 or C2)
- Have 2+ years of podcast production experience, including research, recording, editing, and post-production
- Be proficient with audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
- Be familiar with podcast hosting platforms (e.g., Anchor, Libsyn, Buzzsprout) and how to effectively distribute content
- Possess strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging narratives for audio formats
- Be able to work independently and manage multiple episodes and deadlines
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to interpret complex ideas clearly
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on podcast topics, guests, and relevant industry trends to ensure content is informative, accurate, and engaging
- Coordinate, record, and manage podcast sessions, ensuring high-quality audio and video capture
- Edit audio and video for clarity and engagement, removing mistakes and background noise. Improve sound quality, add music, sound effects, and graphics for video podcasts
- Finalize episodes for publishing by adding necessary metadata, formatting, and creating show notes. Prepare content for distribution across various platforms (e.g., YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts)
- Upload, schedule, and manage podcast releases on relevant platforms, ensuring they are released according to the content calendar
- Assist with creating promotional material, including social media clips, trailers, and episode teasers to engage and grow the podcast audience
- Communicate with podcast guests, schedule recording sessions, and provide necessary information or guidance for a smooth experience
- Track and analyze podcast performance (listens, views, engagement) and provide insights to improve future episodes
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience in promoting podcasts to North American audiences, with knowledge of growth strategies such as social media, SEO, and cross-promotion
- Be able to work with bilingual content or engage both LATAM and North American audiences, ensuring tailored messaging for different regions
- Have familiarity with North American Podcast Platforms and Trends
