Policy Manager, Business Expansion

Summary

Join Airbnb's Global Public Policy team as a Policy Manager for Business Expansion! This role focuses on advising on regulatory issues related to new business initiatives like Airbnb Experiences and Guest Services. You will analyze public policy matters, advise business teams, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Marketing, Supply, and Global Markets. Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in public policy, government relations, and/or state and/or federal government
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively across a wide range of stakeholders, both with subject matter experts and the layperson
• Ability to navigate complex internal organizations, and confidently negotiate issues and roadblocks
• An orientation of being proactive and developing solutions in the face of complex, multi-faceted problems
• Acute attention to detail and highly organized

Responsibilities

• Provide policy advice on the global expansion of the Guest Services and Experiences businesses, supporting alignment with public policy objectives and Airbnb’s long-term goals
• Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, finance, marketing, sales operations, and supply
• Identify, track, and get quickly up to speed on new regulatory areas and understand their impact on the business
• Prioritize risks and opportunities based on inputs from a variety of internal stakeholders
• Design a scalable, efficient system for providing policy analysis to the business as it explores new growth strategies
• Work hand in hand with Regional Policy Teams to explain new business initiatives, solicit their feedback, and translate it for cross functional partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience communicating directly with product and business growth teams and/or senior company leadership
• Experience in a large global organization and/or working on regulatory issues relevant to travel and tourism
