Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in public policy, government relations, and/or state and/or federal government
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively across a wide range of stakeholders, both with subject matter experts and the layperson
- Ability to navigate complex internal organizations, and confidently negotiate issues and roadblocks
- An orientation of being proactive and developing solutions in the face of complex, multi-faceted problems
- Acute attention to detail and highly organized
- Self-starter with a sense of humor and the ability to thrive in a fast moving and sometimes stressful environment
- Personal integrity that reflects Airbnbโs core values and commitment to diversity and belonging
- A passion for Airbnb and the mission of the company
Responsibilities
- Provide policy advice on the global expansion of the Guest Services and Experiences businesses, supporting alignment with public policy objectives and Airbnbโs long-term goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, finance, marketing, sales operations, and supply
- Identify, track, and get quickly up to speed on new regulatory areas and understand their impact on the business
- Prioritize risks and opportunities based on inputs from a variety of internal stakeholders
- Design a scalable, efficient system for providing policy analysis to the business as it explores new growth strategies
- Work hand in hand with Regional Policy Teams to explain new business initiatives, solicit their feedback, and translate it for cross functional partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience communicating directly with product and business growth teams and/or senior company leadership
- Experience in a large global organization and/or working on regulatory issues relevant to travel and tourism
