Presales Solution Architect

Summary

Join Idera as a Presales Solution Architect and provide technical sales support to the sales team, acting as a technical resource for sales and marketing. Collaborate with product development to understand market needs and contribute to product direction. Responsibilities include creating presentations, conducting architecture reviews, and responding to RFPs. The ideal candidate possesses extensive DBMS and data modeling experience, excellent communication skills, and 3-5 years of sales consulting experience. A background in software tools and languages is also required. This role requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience
• Extensive skills and experiences with the following DBMS platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Databricks, Google Big Query and Redshift
• 3-5 years of sales consulting or customer-facing service delivery experience with emphasis on Solution selling
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills
• The ability to work well in groups and interact with people from all disciplines

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales support (e.g., product presentations, architecture reviews, POC's, RFP responses, and webinars) with the Sales team on Sales Opportunities
• Act as a technical resource for the Sales and Marketing departments for communicating highly technical information in a clear, concise format that users can easily understand
• Interface with internal Product Development personnel to communicate market needs and customer satisfaction issues
• Participate as a key contributor to Company and product direction and future opportunities
• Review and compare competing products on a regular basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Database Modeling, Administration, and Development
• Experience with Database Architecture and Meta Data Management
• Experience with data modeling software and data re-engineering tools
• Experience with the Windows operating systems
• Prior database and data source development experience (DDL, SQL, and JSON preferred)
• Willing to travel at least 5 days per month
