Join Hygraph as a Solutions Engineer and consult development teams at leading global brands on adopting Hygraph. You will collaborate with sales and post-sales teams to acquire new enterprise customers, guide technical teams on optimal Hygraph usage, and contribute to a community of GraphQL enthusiasts. This role requires a background in software development but focuses on sales, working within the sales team to generate new revenue. You will present Hygraph technology, advise customers on solutions, maintain technical understanding of the product, conduct workshops, and help win new customers. The position requires fluency in German, B2B pre-sales experience, and familiarity with modern application-building technologies. Requirements
- Be fluent in business-level German and based in Berlin
- Have previous experience in front-end web development and at least 2 years of work experience as a B2B pre-sales engineer of an API-led software product
- Possess familiarity with modern application-building technologies (ex. GraphQL, React, Next.js, Svelte, etc.), software development approaches (ex. microservice architecture, serverless), and, optimally, database architecture
- Have a genuine interest in how our customers and prospects have chosen to build their software infrastructure and enjoy helping solve their problems
- Possess very good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts concisely
Responsibilities
- Support the sales process from a technical point of view and present Hygraph technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers
- Showcase developer functionality to prospects, as well as how modern technical frameworks work together with Hygraph
- Advise new customers on their solution approach, be it the initial Hygraph setup, choice of frontend, or 3rd party tool integrations
- Maintain a broad and deep technical understanding of the product roadmap and the underlying technologies and use cases
- Conduct technical workshops and onboarding, as well as pre-sales to convey product knowledge
- Help the sales team to win new enterprise customers and earn commissions accordingly
