Summary
Join Eventbase as a Product Management Leader to spearhead the evolution of our industry-leading event technology platform. You will be a key contributor, leading Product Management and Design teams and acting as a Management Team member. This fully remote position reports to the COO. Drive our product roadmap, improve offerings, and create new products to meet market demands. Gain a deep understanding of our product, market, competitors, and partners. Define problems and opportunities, collaborating with the team throughout the product lifecycle. Manage and mentor a team of Product Managers and Product Designers. Contribute to strategic planning and present to key customers.
Requirements
- Must have 8+ years of product management experience building a highly configurable software product
- Must have 4+ years of experience managing a team
- Must have used Agile in the past (CSM or CSPO certifications)
- Proven success in executing strategy and vision in a product-focused company building solutions that users love
- Create a process to prove, forecast, and capture ROI on product initiatives
- A solid understanding of technical capabilities, ideally with education or experience working with mobile technology and software engineering
- Demonstrated ability to communicate a clear vision, evangelize for your target market, and build excitement and pride for your product throughout the organization
- Exceptional proficiency in public speaking and delivering presentations
- A great team player attitude that puts the needs of your organization and your team before everything else: dependable and supportive towards mutual success
- Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to create alignment between internal teams and external stakeholders
- Can be hands on to help your product manager with a specific technical feature in the morning, while presenting the long term roadmap to our key clients in the afternoon
- You adapt well to change, demonstrating the speed and flexibility essential in the event industry, and have consistently shown strength in these areas
Responsibilities
- Own our product strategy and be accountable for the success of our product offering
- Work collaboratively with our Engineering team on the ongoing development of our product capabilities, reviewing proposed technical solutions and approving released features
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our offering, so you can answer product questions
- Manage research including competitive research, market research, user testing, and customer research, capturing both quantitative and qualitative data to enable decision making
- Measure progress in every aspect of your business cases, report on the progress, and remove roadblocks
- Create metrics and processes to measure product adoption and team performance
- Own and improve our Product Management process
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing in the creation of product messaging and product offering (price, packages, goto market)
- Drive customer conversations and lead customer workshops to stay in tune with the needs of our customers and prospects
- Manage and mentor our team of Product Managers and Product Designers
- Meet with and present to key customers in order to understand their problems and educate them on our latest and greatest features
- Lead internal roadmap planning sessions and prioritize backlog
- Capture internal/external stakeholder feedback while reaching consensus in the product roadmap
- Attend key events to see the product in action first hand and come home with fresh perspective on how to further the attendee experience and meet customer goals
- Partner with engineering leads to establish rapid product development processes with small teams that can accelerate, build, design, test, and launch products and updates
- Contribute each week as a member of our Management Team
- Participate in strategy sessions with the Executive team and the Board to represent the Eventbase’s Product vision
Preferred Qualifications
Event industry experience would also be a significant asset
