Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or technical field, or comparable experience
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing or product management role in a technology related field
  • Storage industry experience
  • Proven track record of product marketing for technical products
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical product capabilities into compelling market messages
  • Knowledge of the data storage industry or other datacenter infrastructure
  • Can show a compelling portfolio of product marketing content (for the areas listed under essential duties) that was developed via direct oversight or contribution
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to develop compelling messaging and to work effectively and efficiently in this key cross-functional role
  • Knowledge and experience with content development tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro
  • Proven ability to develop amazing product presentations and high-level solution diagrams (with technical assistance from associated functions)

Responsibilities

  • Develop crisp, clear, compelling value propositions for our product and service offerings
  • Initiate and guide the development of promotional material including: Product literature
  • Marketing campaign content for events, direct marketing, and social marketing
  • Web content
  • Promotional videos
  • Tradeshow event content of various types
  • Partner solution briefs and customer case studies
  • Vertical marketing content (e.g. High Performance Computing, FinTech, xSPs, OEM/ODM, etc.)
  • Newsletters
  • Manage marketing projects which includes development and presentation of schedules and dependencies for creation and deployment
  • Manage a schedule and lead hosting activities for webinars and other events that are focused on Western Digital offerings and in some cases collaboration with channel or technology partners
  • Travel occasionally in support of events or content production
  • Manage a portfolio view of all planned activities and keep organizations aligned and on track for each project within the portfolio
