Product Owner

Summary

Join Daxko as a Product Owner and bridge the gap between customer needs and our development team. You will translate requirements into actionable user stories, working closely with Software and Quality Engineers in an agile environment. As a key member of the Product Management team, you'll collaborate cross-functionally, prioritize work, refine the product backlog, and ensure the team focuses on delivering meaningful improvements. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality software solutions. You will be the voice of the customer, ensuring every feature aligns with business objectives and delivers real value. • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar agile role
• Experience working with agile development teams and backlog management
• Ability to prioritize competing needs and make data-driven decisions

Responsibilities

• Embed yourself within the agile development team to drive product delivery and act as the voice of the customer
• Partner with Product Managers to shape the product vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Collaborate on backlog refinement, working with Product Managers to define, review, and optimize epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria to maximize value
• Evaluate and prioritize feature requests, working with Product Managers to align enhancements with business goals and maintain the product roadmap
• Own and manage the product backlog, balancing competing priorities to ensure the highest-impact work is completed
• Lead release and sprint planning, setting clear goals and ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery
• Identify and mitigate risks and roadblocks, proactively resolving issues that could impact sprint and release success
• Validate completed work against acceptance criteria, conducting sprint reviews to ensure alignment with customer and business needs
• Create and refine product documentation, collaborating with Product Managers and Marketing to support product development, launch, support, and sales initiatives
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders, showcasing key features and benefits
• Serve as a subject matter expert, supporting sales and customer service teams with product insights and expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Agile, Scrum Product Owner, or Pragmatic Marketing certifications
• Experience leading multiple scrum teams
• Experience working with UX and engineering teams to refine features
• Background in SaaS, software development, or technology-driven organizations
