Summary

Join Palo Alto Networks as a Professional Services Consultant and become a key player in our mission to protect the digital way of life. You will provide on-site and remote deployment and configuration expertise for Palo Alto Networks solutions, acting as a subject matter expert and interacting directly with customers. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills and a deep understanding of networking and security technologies. You will be responsible for migrating customers from legacy firewall technologies, building custom security policies, maintaining expertise in deploying advanced features, providing after-hours support, analyzing logs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring client needs are met. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies and contribute to the success of our customers.

Requirements

  • Experience with network, security solutions, and technologies leading security solutions in large environments
  • Experience with troubleshooting skills related to networking, routing, IP, NAT, IPSEC VPNs and knowledge of how these interact with applications and users
  • Experience with installation, configuration and operation of high-end firewall appliances, ideally with Palo Alto Networks products
  • Possess one of more of the following industry certifications - CISSP, CCNA, CNSE, JNCIE-SEC, CCSE, CCSM, PCNSE
  • Effectively handle multiple projects and work calmly under pressure
  • An excellent writer, with strong verbal social skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate to senior leaders, technical peers, and non-technical partners
  • Ability to work with the customers security & network teams to build confidence across the business units impacted by the change with the addition Palo Alto Networks

Responsibilities

  • Migrate customers from legacy firewall technologies to Palo Alto Networks platforms
  • Build custom security policies and application signatures, configured for our client’s needs
  • Progress and uphold expertise in deploying advanced Palo Alto Networks features and functionality
  • Provide after hours and weekend on-call support as needed to support maintenance activities
  • Analyze logs and events from the solution to perform initial troubleshooting and issue identification
  • Work with our Technical Assistance Center to troubleshoot and diagnose support cases
  • Maintain the Company's solution and provide mentorship on code upgrades and best practices
  • Ensure client needs are met and deliverables produced on time according to specified project deliverables and scope

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IDS/IPS solutions and technologies
  • Experience leading security solutions in large environments
  • Deep understanding of different security threats, internet protocols, and applications
  • Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of high-end firewall appliances, ideally our products
  • Strong TCP/IP networking skills
  • Can effectively handle many different tasks at a time
  • Extensive background in internetworking, LAN, and WAN technologies required

Benefits

  • The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location
  • For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $126,000 - $189,000/YR
  • The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus
