Join Management Solutions as the NDSEG Fellowship Program Manager, leading the day-to-day operations of a nationally recognized fellowship initiative sponsored by the Department of Defense. You will serve as the primary liaison with senior federal stakeholders, overseeing the program's full lifecycle, from stipend and tuition disbursements to participant engagement and technical systems oversight. Lead a cross-functional team, ensuring all program activities are executed with excellence, compliance, and efficiency. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, or related technical discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing large-scale fellowship, scholarship, or academic support programs
- At least 5 years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal agencies in a program management capacity
- Proven success leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs, including financial oversight, compliance, and performance tracking
- Strong understanding of federal contracting requirements, deliverables, and reporting expectations
- Experience working directly with Contracting Officers (COs) and Contracting Officer’s Representatives (CORs)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate effectively with senior government stakeholders, and manage subcontractor relationships
- Proficiency in program monitoring tools, dashboards, and data reporting to support performance management and decision-making
- U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of program execution for a nationwide science and engineering fellowship initiative sponsored by the Department of Defense
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the federal customer, including the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR)
- Lead monthly Program Management Reviews and maintain regular communication to ensure alignment and transparency
- Oversee a diverse, cross-functional team responsible for stipend and tuition disbursements, application processing, mentorship coordination, travel logistics, and technical support systems
- Ensure all program activities meet contractual requirements, performance standards, and federal compliance regulations
- Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality and adherence to deliverables
- Manage day-to-day program activities, including biweekly internal team meetings, tracking of key metrics and milestones, and resolution of risks or issues
- Oversee participant support functions, including mentorship programming and travel coordination for events or research activities
- Use real-time data dashboards and reporting tools to monitor program status, support decision-making, and drive continuous improvement
