Summary

Join Sand Cherry Associates as a Senior Data Project Manager and contribute to the design and delivery of strategic customer-centric initiatives. Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in technical data engineering/data strategy management for large-scale data management and business intelligence systems initiatives
  • SaaS experience / cloud native applications / backend data experience
  • Proven experience in Data Governance, Data Catalog, Data Stewardship programs
  • Proven experience in cloud architecture, specifically based on Databricks platform elements and techniques
  • Ability to influence at all levels and build strong partnerships across organizations in order to deliver the best outcome of complex programs
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills along with multi-tasking capabilities to get things done in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding communication skills appropriate for executive-level audiences; ability to structure and communicate goals of program, relationship to business goals, and other relevant success criteria
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously understand and communicate the bigger picture while diving in to understand issues & risks to drive rapid resolution
  • Extensive knowledge of project and program management methodology, tools and techniques
  • Must have a sense of urgency to accomplish tasks and facilitate desired outcomes
  • The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
  • Ability to think analytically and process information quickly, presenting it in a succinct and insightful format suitable for executives
  • Experienced in Agile Methodologies
  • Must be proficient with PowerPoint and Excel, JIRA and Smartsheet
  • Bachelor’s degree is required in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, IT or related degree
  • Databricks expertise required

Responsibilities

  • Drive creation of data program roadmaps and data execution plans for complex, cross-organizational teams across all phases of planning, development, and production readiness and launch
  • Influence decisions by connecting strategy, priorities, and business/technical outcomes
  • Lead execution in partnership across multiple functions including Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, as well as with the stewards of data throughout the organization
  • Facilitate all internal and external resources and cross functional teams in a collaborative manner
  • Identify program requirements and build program aspects including initial concept scope, resource allocation, budget considerations and all program analysis
  • Manage programs with proven project management tools and techniques
  • Ensure continued alignment of program scope, status, risks, and dependencies through effective communication across the organization and at all levels
  • Quickly and effectively identify critical issues and dependencies that need action and personally drive them through to closure. Balance business and technical constraints
  • Anticipate, recognize, and work through resistance or setbacks independently, work well with others when conflicts arise and ensure alignment with objectives, find common ground and promote understanding of alternative viewpoints
  • Effectively communicate program progress appropriately to varying levels of stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA is preferred
  • Salesforce/Carelink experience preferred
  • PMP/Agile certification is desired
