Summary

Join Sand Cherry Associates as an Operations Project Manager to support the COO in optimizing systems and operations. You will plan, manage, and oversee key process improvements, ensuring proper documentation of processes and implementation impacts. This remote position requires some travel and involves working mostly MST & CST hours. The role demands strong project management, process optimization, and executive communication skills. You will manage cross-functional teams, build project documentation, and consistently exercise sound judgment. This is a 6–9-month consulting engagement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years project management and process optimization experience
  • Must have strong PM experience working in operations, procurement, and/or purchasing
  • Must have executive level communications, and KPI analysis and reporting which was gained through managing large and complex projects
  • Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology
  • Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals
  • Strong leadership, stakeholdering, and management skills, coupled with ability to individually contribute all duties and responsibilities outlined here
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with ability to build project assets using MS PPT, MS Excel, MS Word, Smartsheet, Clarity, Visio, etc
  • Strong analytics and reporting skills
  • Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
  • Ability to process information quickly and present it in a succinct and insightful format suitable for executives
  • Experience building project budgets/forecasts and KPIs, and analyzing processes to identify areas of optimization
  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Business, IT, Computer Science, or Finance, etc

Responsibilities

  • Work with management to review, optimize, formalize and document the procure to pay/purchase process
  • Identify several of the top optimization initiatives and drive structure and executions of these efforts
  • Manage risks and issues and take corrective measurements using innovative solutions
  • Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies
  • Identify, track and report program KPIs to assess impact
  • Coordinate, manage and monitor workflow of the cross-functional teams
  • Daily program/project management throughout the program life cycle
  • Provide and perform quality assurance checks on project artifacts and deliverables
  • Facilitate and lead project meetings and discussions with stakeholders at all levels
  • Create appropriate documentation to communicate program status/risks/needs
  • Build program documentation such as Program Charter, Risk Log, Trackability Matrix, Status Reports, Project Plans, Budget/Forecast, KPI Dashboard, etc
  • Own overall project plan and manage cross-functional resources, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and achievement of business goals
  • Consistently exercise informed judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Preferred Qualifications

PMP certification is helpful

  • For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensational decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a 6–9-month consulting engagement, with an hourly range of $75-$85. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role
