Summary

The job is for a QA Engineer at Rootly, a fast-growing startup that provides an incident management platform. The role involves ensuring high quality of software products, developing test plans, executing tests, working closely with developers, understanding product requirements, and helping define the automation strategy. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on experience in both automated and manual testing, strong technical skills, good communication skills, empathy for incident management challenges, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in both automated and manual testing
• Knowledge of programming languages relevant to test automation, such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript
• Strong written communication skills and can understand complex technical concepts

Responsibilities

• Ensure an extremely high bar for the quality and reliability of software products
• Develop comprehensive test plans to ensure that software projects functions as expected
• Execute tests plans to ensure the software meets an extremely high quality bar
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that quality standards are met
