Summary

Join our client's team as a Regional Director of Sales and spearhead the sales of cutting-edge fuel-saving aerodynamic technologies to fleets and truck/trailer dealerships. Build strong relationships with clients, train dealers, and facilitate a strategic transition to dealer-based sales. Deliver engaging presentations, manage CRM data, and travel extensively to customer sites and industry events. This role requires a strong sales track record, experience selling differentiated products, and the ability to articulate value propositions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in presentations, possess a basic understanding of mechanical requirements, and be willing to travel extensively.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience
  • A strong track record of exceeding sales quotas in a multi-state territory
  • Skilled in direct sales and pull-through dealer sales strategies
  • Experience selling differentiated or disruptive products, with the ability to articulate value propositions using tools like ROI calculators
  • Adept at addressing and overcoming customer objections
  • Basic understanding of mechanical requirements for product installation and compatibility
  • Capability to complete spec sheets for retrofit installations
  • Proficient in delivering impactful product demonstrations and presentations, including via PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time and the ability to work remotely with discipline and organization
  • Willingness to train, observe, and assist in the product installation process to understand customer utilization and potential obstacles

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the sales of cutting-edge fuel-saving aerodynamic technologies to fleets and truck/trailer dealerships across a multi-state territory
  • Build relationships with fleet owners, maintenance executives, and sustainability officers to secure product commitments
  • Train and equip dealers to confidently represent and sell our client’s product lines to fleet customers
  • Facilitate the shift from direct sales to dealer-based sales in major regions, fostering strong partnerships
  • Deliver engaging presentations and webinars tailored for fleet managers, dealer principals, parts managers and sales managers
  • Maintain up-to-date client and prospect information using CRM tools
  • Travel to customer facilities, dealer events, tradeshows, and conferences, with some weekend travel required
  • Contribute to additional sales and marketing efforts as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in transportation/trucking, fuel program sales, APU sales, new truck leasing, or driver/mpg-focused software
