Join Grafana Labs as a Regional Sales Director, Commercial, Acquisition to lead a team of Account Executives, driving revenue growth, attracting new talent, and expanding your customer base. As a sales leader, you will set the tone and pace for your region, developing and executing sales strategies, mentoring your team, and collaborating with various organizational groups. You will guide your team using a consultative sales approach, articulating the value of Grafana's products and building strong customer relationships. Ideally, you possess a technical background and experience selling visualization, application performance management, or cloud-based tools, particularly within the open-source software domain. This role reports directly to the Vice President, AMER Commercial, and involves close collaboration with the GTM leadership team. This is a critical role offering the opportunity to build something great.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of leading successful sales teams
- Minimum 6 years of successful direct sales experience
- Background in technical applications, familiarity with OSS is a big plus
- Experience navigating complex sales cycles that can last 2-6 months
- Excellent communication (written, oral) and presentation skills (in-person, virtual)
- Comfort working closely and building relationships with C-Level executives
- Passionate about recruiting, hiring, mentoring and developing talent with a proven track record
- Consistent track record in shaping strategic seven-figure deals
- MEDDPICC expertise
- Experience working with ROI and cost modeling to educate and assist potential buyers
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
- Unwavering dedication to integrity and professionalism
Responsibilities
- Develop and mentor your sales team
- Develop a pipeline to help over-achieve revenue targets
- Direct sales activities by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals
- Build and maintain an annual sales plan (goals) in support of our organizational strategy and objectives
- Meet with prospects and strategize with sales representatives to help close deals
- Help the team prepare for QBRs and HBRs
- Enable and support Account Executives in developing strategic relationships with key decision-makers to uncover and drive new business opportunities within target accounts
- Strategically partner with Marketing, Solution Engineers, R&D, Customer Support and other functional teams
