Summary
Join Sprout Social as the Regional VP, APAC, leading the APAC Sales team and serving as the Regional Remote Lead for the wider APAC team, based in Australia. This role requires a results-driven, customer-centric leader to build, scale, and inspire a high-performing sales organization. You will develop and execute a localized GTM strategy, lead go-to-market efforts, recruit and mentor the sales team, drive revenue growth, and expand into new markets. The position also involves championing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the APAC region and acting as a liaison between the region and headquarters. Success in this role demands strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making. This is a remote position based in NSW, Australia.
Requirements
- 15+ years of professional experience, with 10+ years in sales leadership roles
- Second-line leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to lead leaders while driving alignment with strategic objectives
- Proven success in SaaS sales, in both Commercial and Enterprise segments in the wider APAC region (including ANZ and SEA)
- Demonstrated experience leading sales teams across diverse geographies, with an understanding of regional dynamics and business practices
- A track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets in a high-growth environment
- Strong people leadership skills, with a focus on developing talent, driving engagement, and building inclusive cultures
Responsibilities
- Be the regional leader for our APAC market, responsible for developing and executing a localized GTM strategy while supporting Sprout’s Global Commercial & Enterprise strategy - helping design and implement our direct and indirect strategies within the region
- Lead our go-to-market efforts across the entire continent, representing our suite of solutions, supporting the Sprout community across Singapore and Australia
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse, high-performing APAC sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and excellence
- Drive revenue growth through effective pipeline management, team enablement, and optimization of sales processes
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to penetrate emerging and established markets, adapting strategies to regional nuances
- Act as a champion for customers, ensuring their voices are central to sales strategies and fostering long-term relationships that drive retention and expansion
- Partner with business development, marketing, product, success, solutions engineering and other internal teams to align on go-to-market strategies, product offerings, and customer experience
- Leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making, measure team performance, and continuously improve outcomes
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging best practices to position Sprout Social as a leader in the commercial segment
- Serve as the APAC Regional Remote Lead, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the regional teams across Australia, Singapore and the Philippines and acting as a liaison between the region and HQ (We anticipate this work to account for 10-15% of capacity)
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion by promoting diverse perspectives, ensuring inclusive practices are embedded into regional strategy, and fostering an equitable environment for all team members within the APAC region
- Represent APAC in senior leadership offsites, strategy sessions, and cross-regional forums, articulating the region’s insights, challenges, and opportunities
- Partner with global leadership to shape and communicate APAC’s strategic direction, ensuring regional needs are integrated into the broader organizational vision
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfort with data-driven decision-making and leveraging sales technology (e.g., CRM tools like Salesforce)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
