Requirements

  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in full close-cycle accounting; preferably at a rapidly scaling tech SaaS business, with a minimum of 2 years in leadership roles
  • Possesses professional certifications such as CPA, CGMA, ACCA, ACAF, or similar
  • Strong knowledge of accounting practices and U.S. GAAP, and regulatory requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills and a working knowledge of accounting software, e.g. Rillet, Netsuite, SAP or similar
  • Proven track record of leading major financial projects, such as system implementations or process automation
  • Familiarity with SaaS-specific metrics (e.g., MRR, ARR, CAC, churn, etc.)
  • A demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with sales, operations, product, and executive teams
  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute the month-end close process for three entities (USA, UK, Latvia), preparing timely and accurate consolidated and standalone financial statements
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including US GAAP standards (ASC 340-40, ASC 606, ASC 718 and others)
  • Coordinate audit activities and liaise with external auditors and advisors to ensure successful completion and compliance
  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain financial systems and software to enhance reporting and operational efficiency
  • Mentor and develop a small team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning
  • Complete ad-hoc projects
