Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering or technical sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
- Proven track record of building and leading successful teams with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with enterprise level clients and managing complex sales cycles
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects, demonstrate clear business value and lead technical strategy in sales engagements
- Prior experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar technical role, preferably in B2B environments
- Strong understanding of SIP/Telephony systems, contact centers systems
- Strong understanding of core technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, API integrations
- Expertise in front office solutions for sales and service use cases
- Ability to grasp complex technical concepts quickly and translate them into business value
- Translate technical information into business language for non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to validate the feasibility of proposed technical solutions
- Technical degree from a highly-regarded university
- Consistent performance in top 10% of peer groups as demonstrated by promotion trajectory, expanding roles and responsibility, and/or metric attainment
- Demonstrated ability to build new processes and frameworks to help the team and broader company scale
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high performing team of sales engineers
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify technical requirements and develop customized solutions
- Partner with sales leadership to define and implement pre-sales strategies
- Oversee the creation and delivery of compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations and proof of concept projects
- Work closely with product management and product marketing to provide market feedback and influence product roadmap
- Analyze and optimize pre-sales processes to improve efficiency, win rates, customer satisfaction and position for scaling the SE organization
- Contribute to the development of sales enablement materials, including technical documentation, demo scripts, use cases and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterβs Degree in technical field or MBA or equivalent experience
