Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute our customer acquisition strategy with a focus on driving scalable and profitable growth for our consumer lending product
  • Develop strategy for and scale performance marketing across multi-channel (direct mail, email, affiliate, digital, content) initiatives in support of customer acquisition and retention for our personal loan business
  • Deeply understand the competitive landscape and trends, and represent the voice of the customer to identify and drive improvements in the overall experience and opportunities for growth
  • Grow the Happy Money brand and our position in the competitive landscape
  • Drive go-to-market and product marketing through strong value articulation, and product positioning and messaging
  • Foster an environment of continuous “test and learn” to optimize channel performance (ROI) and seek efficient costs of acquisition (CAC)
  • Stay current with the latest marketing technologies and tools, and enhance strategy and execution by harnessing technologies like AI for personalization, testing and optimization, and automation
  • Show up as a servant leader, hire, develop, and mentor a team of high-performing growth & performance marketers

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly experienced Marketing leader to spearhead Happy Money’s growth through effective acquisition strategies, particularly in driving loan originations. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in scaling credit products while managing customer acquisition costs. This role will require the ability to effectively lead and develop channel managers, oversee budgets and forecasts, and foster robust alignment and communication across senior leadership and partner teams. Strong leadership, people management, and exceptional communication skills are essential for this role.

You will collaborate closely with our Risk & Analytics, Finance, Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams to develop a scalable and efficient multi-channel marketing platform that drives product demand. This is a strategic position with substantial visibility and interaction across various teams and leadership levels within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategy -  to provide quarterly goals in alignment with our long term plan
  • Risk & pricing - to ensure we are attracting the right customers and margins
  • Finance and analytics -  to develop and manage forecasts and budgets to drive efficient growth and profitability
  • Analytics and data science - to develop robust reporting that helps drive actionable insights, build out more robust attribution models (e.g., multi-touch) and measurement frameworks
  • Product - to collaborate on experiments, enhance the customer experience, launching new features and new product GTM

ABOUT YOU

$165,000 - $225,000 a year

Happy Money offers a competitive salary range tailored to individual qualifications, experience, and role fit, reflecting our commitment to fair compensation practices. Additionally, eligible candidates may have the opportunity to participate in additional compensation (e.g. bonus, equity) contingent on company and individual performance, as a part of their total rewards offering.
