Remote Merchandise Associate

Join our dynamic team as a Merchandise Associate at Short Story, where you will be responsible for data entry, item setup, product catalog maintenance, quality control, communication, and ad hoc support.

Requirements

• Four-year degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
• Fluent in English
• 2+ years of experience with data entry in English
• Exceptional writing skills
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and/or G Suite (Google Sheets, Docs, Slides)
• Startup mentality: Flexible and able to wear many hats

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter product information into our database system
• Ensure all data is up-to-date and error-free
• Collaborate with the Merchandise Team to update and maintain the product catalog, ensuring product descriptions, images, and other relevant information are current and accurate
• Conduct regular quality checks on product data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Identify and address any discrepancies or issues promptly
• Maintain open and clear communication with the merchandise team in San Francisco. Provide regular updates on tasks, projects, and any challenges encountered
• Provide support to the merchandise team as needed, including assisting with special projects, conducting research, and performing other administrative tasks
