Join us as we aggressively expand into the United States market and seek a seasoned Principal Product Manager to lead the development of the Management Console for TiDBβs self-managed deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or Masterβs in a technical field is a plus
- 10+ years of product management experience in enterprise software, database management, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong understanding of database systems, distributed systems, and the needs of database administrators
- Proven experience managing product roadmaps, defining requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Excellent ability to translate technical details into customer-focused product features
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the TiDB Management Console, focusing on usability, performance, and feature richness
- Ensure that the Management Console aligns closely with the TiDB Cloud interface wherever possible, creating a unified and intuitive experience across platforms that supports seamless transitions between self-managed and cloud environments
- Identify and prioritize features that simplify cluster management, including monitoring, alerting, performance tuning, and scaling capabilities
- Work closely with engineering to define technical requirements, establish timelines, and oversee the delivery of console features
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product enhancements that align with user needs, improve productivity, and reduce operational complexity
- Maintain a strong emphasis on security, reliability, and ease of integration with other database management tools
