Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health administration or other related field is required
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as medical office software
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse teams and offices
  • Experience in change management and process improvement initiatives, especially during office integration and expansion
  • Knowledge of regional healthcare regulations and payer dynamics to adapt revenue cycle strategies accordingly
  • Project management skills to oversee integration projects effectively
  • Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and effective time management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge and application of HIPAA & OSHA compliance

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for revenue cycle initiatives in collaboration with the RCM Leadership Team
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Analyze current revenue cycle processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve financial outcomes
  • Work closely with departments such as billing, patient access, and vendor partners to streamline workflows
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and external partners
  • Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and issues
  • Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate project progress and outcomes
  • Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and present reports to management on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle performance and projects
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and project planning
  • Manage project processes by providing support and ensuring alignment with project objectives
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment
  • Ensure that project teams adhere to established project management methodologies and standards
  • Ensure all revenue cycle processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA
  • Stay informed of changes in healthcare regulations and assess their impact on revenue cycle operations
  • Implement necessary changes to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Oversee the implementation of revenue cycle management systems and technology solutions in collaboration with the RCM Manager and Leadership team
