Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results
  • Own all aspects of the AP process, ensuring timely payments and vendor relationships
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring data integrity and financial accuracy
  • Assist in leading and coordinating tax filings and compliance initiatives, working closely with external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Take ownership of accounting functions and actively seek opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies
  • Partner with the FP&A team to assist in variance analysis, providing insights on financial performance
  • Prepare for and support any external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available

As a Senior Accountant at Campspot, you’ll play a crucial role in managing our financial operations. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance & Governance, you will own key accounting functions, including the month-end close process, accounts payable, and support tax and compliance initiatives. As the sole dedicated accounting team member, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your work and make a direct impact on the company’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Close: Lead the entire month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Own all aspects of the AP process, ensuring timely payments and vendor relationships.
  • General Ledger Oversight: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring data integrity and financial accuracy.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $85,000-$105,000 annually, depending on experience and location

While Campspot is a remote-first company, priority will be given to candidates located near our Grand Rapids, MI headquarters. Secondary consideration will be given to candidates who reside in states where we currently have employees, including CO, IL, KY, ME, MA, MI, NY, NC, SC, TX, UT, VT, VA, and WA. Candidates located outside of the US or any of the states listed previously are not able to be considered at this time.
