Summary

Join our team of disruptors, pioneers, and innovators! As a Technical Account Manager, you'll work closely with prospects to understand their business drivers and demonstrate how Imply will add value to their analytics applications and workflows. You'll be part of the account team to acquire new customers, expand relationships, and provide value realization efforts such as proof of concepts and go lives.

Requirements

  • You have a passion for and love big data, data schemas and high-speed analytics
  • 3+ years of big data and/or streaming technology experience and 1+ years in internal/external customer-facing and hands-on roles
  • Deep technical experience with distributed database and data warehouse methodologies, data modeling, and ETL tools and principles
  • Experience in SQL and how different structures relate to database optimization
  • Experience in at least one of the cloud environments - AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Expert in at least 2 big data technologies - Kafka, Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Kinesis, Presto/Trino
  • Demonstrable knowledge of at least one programming language - Bash, Java, Python
  • Great communication and presentation skills, effectively relay complex information and technical value to technical and non technical users

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the America account team to understand our customer's data pipeline needs, strategize on how to resolve problems, and support the sales cycles
  • Clarify data modeling concepts and industry best practices for internal team members and stakeholders
  • Recognize data modeling situations and articulate alternatives to prospects that allow Imply to operate fully at max performance
  • Support the broader account team at a technical capacity including but not limited to setting up ETL processes, scripting with Python or Bash, configuring resources and permissions in AWS/GCP/Azure
  • Maintain the technical demo environments that include data generation and infrastructure optimization
  • Provide guidance for improving our product gaps or limitations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the Druid open source database
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm
  • Proven successes delivering value via MEDDIC or equivalent sales process
  • Proven strategy with solving batch, streaming and query optimization strategies
