Summary
Join our team as a User Experience Expert fluent in English to offer services remotely. The successful candidate will work closely with a major client's IT team on site and be integrated into our company's team.
Requirements
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline
- Minimum 13 years of relevant working experience in IT
- Minimum 5 years' of experience in UX research and design
- Proven expertise in designing user-centered solutions across multiple industries
- Proficiency in UX research tools and methodologies (Figma, Miro, Hotjar and Optimal Workshop)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience in accessible design
- Experience in synthesizing UX research, web analytics data, as well as surveys, legacy and organizational goals
- Experience in working with JIRA, Documentation and Knowledge Sharing (Confluence) and SharePoint Online
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile)
- Experience with UX Research Techniques: Usability and User Testing, User Requirements Research, Heuristic Evaluations, User Centered Design (UCD), User Persona Development, User Journey Mapping, UX Writing, A/B Testing, Contextual Inquiry, Iterative Prototyping, Participatory Design (design sprints)
- Ability to apply Design Thinking principles to solve user-centered problems and co-create solutions with cross-functional teams
- Certifications in the following areas are required: User Centered Design, Usability and Accessibility Standards, Participatory Design (design sprints, visual conversation), Agile and Research Techniques
- Excellent command of the English, Dutch and French language
Responsibilities
- Create design prototypes and occasionally integrate/implement the design (Front-end dev)
- Use various UX practices and work closely with business and cross-functional teams to reach desired organizational goals
- Examine existing software products and identify usability issues
- Plan and execute tests to assess the usability of a product in development
- Analyze the findings and provide actionable recommendations
- Assist research groups (recruitment-related activities, data entry, note-taking, technical setup) to ensure that project work is delivered on time and meets quality standards
- Support the creation of a UX toolkit (templates, guides, etc.)
- Co-create and standardize templates, guides, workflows, and processes with support from team members and the UX Community of Practice
