Summary
Join NewRocket, a global ServiceNow partner, as a Resource Management leader overseeing all aspects of resource management. Develop and implement resource management strategies, policies, and processes. Collaborate with project managers, department leaders, and HR to identify resource needs. Lead resource capacity planning and forecasting, including skills gap analysis. Monitor resource utilization, resolve bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement. Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to support workforce planning and development. Prepare reports on resource utilization for executive decision-making. Ensure compliance with organizational systems and policies. Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in business administration, Engineering, Project Management, Human Resources, or a related field (Masterโs degree preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive experience in resource management or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
- Demonstrated expertise in resource planning, capacity management, and workforce optimization across complex, multi-project environments
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in resource management and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, MS D365, etc.)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
- High degree of integrity, adaptability, and resilience in navigating complex scenarios and driving change
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide resource management strategies, policies, and processes
- Collaborate with project managers, department leaders, talent acquisition, and HR to identify current and future resource requirements
- Lead resource capacity planning and forecasting, including skills gap analysis and bench management
- Develop and maintain contingency plans for resource shortages or surpluses
- Oversee centralized resource scheduling systems to ensure accurate tracking of assignments and availability
- Monitor, analyze, and report on resource utilization trends and ensure utilization goals are being met
- Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, conflicts, or imbalances
- Proactively rotate resources across projects
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resource management tools, systems, and processes
- Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and development
- Communicate resource status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Influence and collaborate across all organizational levels to align resource management with business goals
- Prepare and present reports on resource utilization, capacity, and risks for executive decision-making
- Leverage data and analytics to drive actions and behavior
- Ensure compliance and use of organizational systems and policies, within the company
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, especially around AI to automate and continually improve the process
