Summary

Join our team as a Sales Account Manager – Commercial Powders and assume day-to-day management of Commercial accounts within the Luxfer Magtech business sector. You will maintain and grow sales volume, revenue, and profit by working closely with sales, technical, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. The role requires extensive travel within the U.S. and occasional international travel.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to use own initiative, prioritize tasks and work well under pressure, and be driven by achievement
  • Must be detail-oriented, show insight and strategic focus
  • Time Management and leadership skills
  • Professional approach to work and in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Team player who demonstrates a high level of commitment, adopts a flexible and positive approach
  • Must have the ability to work unsupervised with good time management skills to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high pressure and challenging environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, or related field
  • Previous experience in sales role within the powdered metals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience using Salesforce.com, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Manage the business relationship with both established and prospective accounts
  • Conduct regular meetings through site visits, tradeshows, and industry association meetings to facilitate growth
  • Understand and interpret technical requirements, recommend products and negotiate commercial terms (price, volume, payment, delivery terms) in line with business targets
  • Provide accurate monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts based on customers’ projections and understanding of customers’ products and trends in end markets and applications
  • Achieve financial targets in line with the company’s budget
  • Accountable for pricing implementation and handling customer complaints
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage and track leads and opportunities
  • Coordinate and communicate with Customer Service, Production, Supply Chain (e.g. S&OP) and other departments such as Quality, Research & Development and Accounting
  • Assist Accounts Receivable in collecting past due payments as needed
