Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in SaaS, cloud, or data analytics solutions
  • Full Sales Cycle Experience: Proven ability to manage sales from initial outreach and discovery to demo, negotiation, and closing
  • Occasional Travel Required: Willingness to travel for key customer engagements and team meetings
  • Self-Starter & Problem Solver: Creative thinker who proactively identifies opportunities and implements solutions
  • Strong Time Management & Prioritization: Ability to juggle multiple accounts while maintaining a results-driven approach
  • Data-Driven & Highly Organized: Ability to track and analyze performance metrics in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills tailored for both technical and business audiences

Responsibilities

  • Qualify and Develop Leads: Identify and engage multiple prospects within target accounts to create new sales opportunities. Manage and nurture leads strategically within your assigned territory
  • Account & Prospect Research: Leverage advanced prospecting tools to build and maintain a world-class customer database, ensuring high-quality engagement
  • Refine Messaging & Outreach: Develop compelling messaging and content to drive repeatable success against our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), targeted personas, and 1:1 Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies
  • Territory & Pipeline Management: Maintain a structured territory plan, ensuring accuracy in Salesforce.com to support forecasting and sales management
  • Quota-Carrying Inside Sales Role: Engage in daily customer meetings (virtual/remote), actively building a high-quality pipeline
  • Executive-Level Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with VP and C-suite decision-makers, effectively positioning Actian’s solutions to address their business needs
  • High-Volume Outreach & Engagement: Drive activity across outbound calls, personalized 1:1 email campaigns, and social media selling to maximize engagement and pipeline growth
  • Sales Presentations & Collaboration: Deliver impactful virtual presentations and product demos, working closely with Actian Sales Engineers to showcase solutions effectively

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with modern sales tools (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Outreach, Drift) is a plus
