Summary

Join GlacierGrid, a leading energy industry player, as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to expand our presence in the QSR and convenience store markets. You will drive outbound outreach for our advanced energy management systems (EMS) and smart thermostat solutions, using AI-powered tools to identify and qualify new business opportunities. This role focuses on helping multi-unit operators optimize energy use, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent B2B sales experience (SaaS/technology sales preferred)
  • Proven success in outbound prospecting, cold calling, and email outreach-ideally with QSRs, convenience stores, or related retail sectors
  • Experience with AI-driven sales tools and CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical value propositions to non-technical stakeholders
  • High resilience, coachability, and a growth mindset-actively seeks and implements feedback
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify high-potential QSR and convenience store chains using AI-driven insights for lead scoring and prioritization
  • Execute cold outbound campaigns (calls, emails, social outreach) tailored to the energy management and smart thermostat needs of target businesses
  • Develop and refine multi-touch email and call sequences, leveraging AI to personalize messaging based on prospect profiles and industry pain points
  • Schedule and conduct introductory meetings, qualifying prospects for EMS and smart thermostat solutions that improve operational efficiency and cost savings
  • Re-engage previously unresponsive sales-qualified leads (SQLs) to revive interest and momentum
  • Consistently meet or exceed daily outreach activity targets and monthly pipeline goals
  • Map organizations to identify and connect with key decision-makers responsible for facilities, operations, or energy management
  • Become a power user of GlacierGrid’s platform, as well as the sales tech stack (HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Outreach, Apollo, etc.)
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to refine outbound strategies based on market feedback and emerging trends in energy management
  • Stay current on AI, EMS, and smart thermostat innovations relevant to QSRs and convenience stores

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of energy management systems, smart thermostats, or IoT solutions for commercial facilities is a plus
