Join Voyc, an award-winning conversation intelligence company, as their dynamic Inside Sales Manager/Sales Development Representative (SDR) Team Lead. Lead and motivate a high-performing SDR team focused on outbound pipeline generation within the UK financial services sector. Manage and coach the team to meet and exceed sales qualified leads (SQL) targets while maintaining high quality and compliance. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance team skills. Drive a culture of high-volume, high-quality cold calling, and utilize data analytics to optimize lead generation strategies. Collaborate with various stakeholders to align on strategy and optimize lead handoff processes. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Proven experience as a successful Sales Development Representative with a track record of exceeding targets, preferably in a SaaS and/or startup environment
  • Proven experience leading or working within a cold-calling heavy SDR/BDR environment. Must be comfortable training, coaching, and motivating teams to perform high-volume outbound outreach and drive top-of-funnel activity through cold calling
  • 1-2 years of experience in managing an SDR/BDR team is a must. Experience managing a remote team is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with prospects and motivating a team
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving goals. Eager to take initiative in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and motivation: Inspire and lead the SDR team with high energy and motivation, fostering a culture of achievement and collaboration
  • Performance management: Monitor team performance against KPIs and targets, providing regular feedback and coaching to drive continuous improvement
  • Training and development: Develop and deliver training programmes to enhance the skills and capabilities of the SDR team, ensuring readiness for career progression
  • Cold calling excellence: Drive and maintain a culture of high-volume, high-quality cold calling to generate new leads. Set clear daily and weekly outbound call targets, monitor activity metrics, and coach the team to improve conversion rates from cold outreach. Ensure team members are confident, articulate, and persuasive on the phone with UK-based prospects
  • Call coaching: Run regular call coaching sessions using real recorded calls to improve objection handling, tone, and messaging for cold outreach
  • Call script development: Create, test, and iterate on cold call scripts that resonate with the UK financial services audience
  • Skill gap analysis: Evaluate team performance to distinguish between skills gaps and effort gaps, providing targeted support and resources as needed
  • Data-driven decision making: Utilise data analytics to track team performance, optimise lead generation strategies, and ensure alignment with overall sales objectives
  • Collaboration and reporting: Work closely with the sales operations analyst, marketing, account executives, and other stakeholders to align on strategy, share insights, and optimise lead handoff processes
  • Compliance and quality: Uphold high compliance standards and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures across all SDR activities
  • Manage team KPI's - Example - Team Activity Performance – Total team output on dials, emails, and connection requests
  • Activity Compliance Rate – % of SDRs meeting or exceeding weekly activity targets
  • Coaching & Development – Number of 1:1 coaching sessions completed
  • Ramp Time to First SQL – Average number of days for new SDRs to book their first SQL
  • Team SQLs Generated – Total Sales Qualified Leads passed to AEs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CRM (e.g. Hubspot, Salesforce) and lead intelligence software (e.g. Cognism, Apollo, Lusha, etc) is a plus
  • Experience using dialers, call tracking tools, or power dialers is a plus
  • Strong understanding of outbound sales methodology, including cadence structuring and cold call best practices
