Join Stride, a leading portable benefits platform, as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive top-of-funnel growth for our Enterprise SaaS pipeline. You will generate awareness of portable benefits and Stride’s unique offerings, collaborating with various teams to build and execute outbound campaigns, conduct prospect research, and manage inbound inquiries. You will play a key role in shifting our pipeline from 100% outbound to a 70/30 outbound/inbound balance. Additional responsibilities include identifying target companies and buyer personas, conducting research, using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and HubSpot, collaborating with Marketing, triaging leads, building follow-up systems, providing market insights, tracking performance, and contributing to strategic improvements. The role requires at least one year of experience in a similar role, familiarity with CRM tools and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and experience in health-tech, healthcare, benefits, or fintech. Strong communication skills, organizational mapping abilities, and the capacity to translate Stride’s value proposition are also essential. The compensation range is $88,000-$107,000 annually, plus equity.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a Sales Development or Business Development role
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Industry familiarity with health-tech, healthcare, benefits, or fintech
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing or GTM teams
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse stakeholders
- Are fluent in organizational mapping, researching companies, and identifying buyer personas
- Are able to translate Stride’s value proposition to align with a company’s unique goals and pain points
- Are a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and autonomy
Responsibilities
- Identify target companies and buyer personas, and conduct in-depth research to build contact maps and strategic outreach plans
- Own outbound outreach using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and HubSpot and creating personalized 1:1 messages and sequences
- Collaborate with Marketing on outbound campaign content and strategy
- Triage and qualify inbound interest, ensuring leads are properly routed
- Build and manage structured follow-up systems to re-engage prospects at the right time
- Support the broader BD team by providing market insights and prospecting materials
- Track and reporting on outreach performance, adjusting strategies as needed
- Contribute to a feedback loop that improves Stride’s messaging, targeting, and go-to-market strategy
