Summary

Join our team as a Sales Engineer and contribute to the growth of a fast-growing, innovative, and data-driven company. Reporting to the Director of National Accounts, you will deliver customer-focused solutions, create value across key markets, support quality assurance, and conduct internal technical training. This role blends strategic customer engagement and product knowledge to translate technical expertise into value-added propositions, increasing market share. You will collaborate with sales, leverage technical knowledge to identify opportunities, present solutions to stakeholders, and develop solutions for projects. Additionally, you will create and deliver technical training, collaborate across departments, identify new product applications, and strategize with the Director of National Accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering required, Electrical Engineering preferred
  • At least six years of technical sales experience, preferably in the electrical industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Ability to interact at a technical level with electrical engineers and project managers
  • Ability to read and understand cable standards and specifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment, while managing multiple priorities and tasks
  • Must be a proactive, self-starter who understands the details and can integrate them into a much larger strategic context
  • Must be able to move about independently on a construction site, and uneven terrain
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 pounds, occasional bending and reaching
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Sales Support: Collaboration with sales to engage with customers to promote DWCโ€™s products and solutions
  • Product Knowledge: Leverage technical and industry knowledge to identify new opportunities in alignment with long-term goals
  • Technical Presentations: Present DWC solutions to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Solution Development: Participate in sales calls incongruence with distributor partners, determining profitable solutions for specific projects and end-user engagement
  • Training: Develop and participate in technical product training internally and externally
  • Cross departmental Communication: Collaboration with operations to ensure quality standards across all product lines
  • Optimization: Identify new applications for existing products
  • Sales Strategy: Effectively communicate and collaborate with Director of National Accounts around strategic sales at a national level
