Summary

Join our team as a Sales Engineer and become the primary technical resource for our sales team. You will drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, acting as the key technical advisor and product advocate. Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users, identify technical issues, and ensure complete customer satisfaction. Build strong relationships throughout the sales cycle and learn our core products and services. This role requires collaboration with the sales team, including assisting with client discovery calls, creating solutions-based presentations, and post-presentation follow-up. You will also represent our products at field events and respond to RFIs/RFPs. This is a remote position.

Requirements

  • Experience in and familiarity with the Multi-family housing industry
  • An inquisitive and innovative nature, excellent critical and analytical thinking, integrity, willingness to step into new initiatives, strong communication and facilitation skills, team-focused mentality, along with a commitment to continuously learning and improving
  • Proven confidence and strong ability to be a self-starter
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology
  • Ability to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports
  • Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
  • Able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for learning products and services in the core offering with value propositions
  • Assist Regional Vice Presidents in the small to mid-sized markets to close business
  • Assist the Regional Vice President with client discovery calls
  • Research customer needs and strategize with the assigned Regional Vice President before delivering a solutions presentation
  • Utilize discovery to create a solutions-based presentation for each client via online meeting platforms
  • Establish customer rapport and acceptance
  • Assist the Regional Vice President with post-presentation follow-up items and coordinating with product teams when needed
  • Represent the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting background/expertise strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is strongly preferred

Benefits

  • $70,100 - $110,000 a year
  • In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for commission
