Summary
The job is for a Sales Engineer position at WatchGuard in Northern Europe. The role involves generating revenue through indirect sales channels, developing technical relationships with partners, providing pre-sales technical support, training, and demos to both partners and customers, and assisting in customer evaluations and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
Requirements
- Three (3)+ years pre-sales technical experience working for a reseller or manufacturer
- WatchGuard or competitor technical & sales certifications recommended
- BS/BA or equivalent work experience
Responsibilities
- Forging strategic relationships with channel partners to help them develop, support, and sell WatchGuard’s solutions
- Being the primary technical contact for end users interested in purchasing WatchGuard’s product lines
- Training and supporting partners, providing demos to both partners and customers
- Assisting in customer evaluations & Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Delivering technical enablement and answering questions from customers relating to WatchGuard’s solutions
- Answering RFP’s and providing customer and partner feedback to the Product Management team
- Being a trusted security advisor and working closely with the sales teams during sales calls, meetings, and helping evangelize WatchGuard solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Endpoint security background a plus
- Strong networking background including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, Routing
