Summary
Join SmartBug Media, a leading digital agency, as a Sales Executive! Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will execute our sales methodology, forecast sales, and achieve monthly quotas. This role involves developing pipeline through outbound efforts, managing inbound leads, and supporting upsells/cross-sells. You will close new business, find prospects, collaborate with HubSpot, manage the sales funnel, and develop target account lists. Success requires strong communication, HubSpot expertise, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. SmartBug offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Requirements
- Must be fluent in both English and French (Canadian French)
- Experience carrying a personal quota of over $1 million annually with a proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets
- Expert knowledge of HubSpot CRM best practices and sales enablement tools
- Superior communication skills, whether on video conference, phone calls, in-person, or written communication
- The ability to assess business problems and prescribe solutions as they relate to sales and marketing initiatives for our clients
- An innate hunger and the self-discipline to grow, as well as a willingness to help others succeed

Responsibilities
- Close new business consistently at or above quota level
- Find new prospects from both inbound and self-sourced leads
- Work collaboratively with HubSpot during co-selling opportunities
- Manage all aspects of the sales funnel, from qualification to close
- Participate in the development and execution of your target account list and partner with marketing and fellow sales executives to build effective programs to penetrate accounts
- Write outbound sales sequences that leverage marketing content and campaigns to convert interested prospects into qualified leads
- Call and email prospects within our ICP to generate business opportunities
- Conduct needs assessment calls with sales qualified leads, leveraging your business acumen from past experience consulting on and selling demand generation and/or sales enablement strategies in the SaaS, manufacturing, healthcare, and/or professional services verticals, among others
- Demonstrate HubSpot acumen by providing sales demos to prospects of all HubSpot products
- Respond to sales inquiries via email and phone as assigned
- Engage in intelligent, prescriptive, and educational-based outreach to expose good-fit clients to SmartBug’s offerings
- Leverage HubSpot’s entire suite of offerings and solutions
- Maintain pristine CRM records and accurate pipeline forecasting
- Monitor performance against key performance indicators and implement improvement strategies, as required
- Become a true evangelist of SmartBug’s employee advocacy program
- Rock the future customer experience by demonstrating your marketing expertise to identify pains and architect solutions that are best for the customer’s business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience purchasing marketing services and/or managing agency relationships as a client
- Experience working remotely
- An understanding of how business decisions are made, confidence in advising C-level executives on growth strategies
- A motivation to hunt and win

- An innate hunger and the self-discipline to grow, as well as a willingness to help others succeed
- Experience working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
- The ability to execute the basic SmartBug process so you can be more efficient in your sales conversations
