Senior Account Executive

Summary

Join Zeno Group as a Senior Account Executive and collaborate with the Corporate team to provide strategic counsel and drive results for clients using traditional and emerging PR tactics. You will build strong client and vendor relationships, coach junior employees, and develop and manage media relations programs. Success requires a fearless, resourceful, and tenacious approach, along with a deep understanding of the media landscape. This role demands excellent writing and presentation skills, proven success in media relations, and experience in corporate PR and financial services. Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in corporate PR and financial services industry experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations or related communications field
• Collaborative spirit, results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines
• Demonstrates the ability to think strategically, creatively and holistically about client programs, fearless in presenting a point of view in brainstorms
• Excellent writing skills, demonstrated experience crafting newsworthy pitches, releases, contributed articles
• Highly organized
• Proficient in MSOffice, specifically PowerPoint
• Proven success in building relationships with members of the media and driving results for clients
• Strong presentation skills, with experience working directly with clients and actively participating in client meetings

Responsibilities

• Assist with new business
• Build strong relationships with client and vendor contacts & proactively manage correspondence
• Coach junior employees and demonstrate ability to supervise & delegate tasks as necessary
• Develop key messages in keeping with clients’ objectives and craft and develop newsworthy pieces based off the key messaging
• Develop and manage media relations programs including maintaining quality programs with trade, business, and vertical press and sustain key editorial contacts
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete them on time and on budget
• Plan and implement press conferences, seminars, speakers’ bureau, and other special events
• Practice effective project management while working with other team members and understand the “big picture” of the client program
• Research, interview, write, and edit news releases other media materials, fact sheets, message maps and other materials as needed
