Senior Accountant

Summary

The job is for a Senior Accountant at Airtm, a company that offers financial services in Latin America. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Advanced Excel skills: Pivot tables, Data import/DAX, Array formulas, UDF's, VB
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• SQL
• Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with a diverse team

Responsibilities

• Process Journal Transactions
• Maintain and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
• Ensure that the account balances and bank statements are accurately reconciled
• Participate in the monthly close process, ensuring that all journal entries and account reconciliations assigned are completed accurately and on time
• Handle payroll and benefits: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including tax withholdings and benefits administration
• Analyze financial information and provide insights to management
• Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
• Comply with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions
• Identify areas for cost reductions and operational improvements
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference to experience in QuickBooks Online
• Fluency in English (also Spanish is desirable)
