Senior Accountant, Remote - Worldwide

Summary

As a Senior Accountant at Candidly, you will handle full-cycle accounting services, manage revenue recognition (ASC 606), billing, and commission accounting functions, collaborate with various departments, and assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting with at least 5 years of experience, CPA/Master’s Degree is highly desirable.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting with minimum of 5 years experience preferred; CPA/Master’s Degree highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Handle full-cycle accounting services
• Manage revenue recognition (ASC 606)
• Prepare and maintain revenue schedules and journal entries
• Collaborate with systems, sales, and legal teams to address revenue-related issues
• Monitor and reconcile revenue-related accounts
• Perform month-end closing procedures including the preparation of complex journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Perform financial analysis and provide insights to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth strategies
• Stay current with industry trends and regulations to make recommendations for improving financial processes
• Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required
• Maintain comprehensive records related to commission accounting
• Ensure the proper and timely computation and disbursement of commission earnings and associated expenses

Preferred Qualifications

• SaaS experience a plus
• Big 4 firm or Internal Audit experience preferred
