Senior Accountant

Summary

Join BambooHR as a Senior Accountant and contribute to a growing accounting environment. You will manage accounts payable, financial accounting, management accounting, and tax accounting tasks. This remote position requires 3+ years of public accounting experience or 5+ years of non-public accounting experience, a CPA (or actively pursuing one), and advanced Excel skills. The ideal candidate will have SaaS industry experience and experience with NetSuite and Coupa. Requirements

• You have 3+ years of experience in public accounting, or 5+ years of experience in a non-public accounting role
• You have earned (or are currently actively pursuing) your CPA
• You have advanced Excel skills, with a high comfort level in areas like complex formulas, pivot tables, Vlookups, etc
• You have exceptional organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and high accuracy
• You have a history of successfully managing a variety of tasks and meeting deadlines in prior roles
• You are located in one of our hiring states: Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Georgia, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor the accounts payable process using Coupa
• Manage reimbursements and corporate card program using Brex
• Calculate and pay affiliate commissions
• Manage fixed assets process
• Prepare general ledger entries and review and reconcile various general ledger accounts through NetSuite
• Research and recommend accounting treatment for revenue recognition under ASC 606 for new revenue streams or contracting models
• Participate in financial data analysis, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our systems and processes
• Assist with tax return information requests and respond to tax notices
• Perform monthly use tax calculations
• Assist in the monthly sales tax return review and reconciliation process

Preferred Qualifications

• You have experience in the SaaS industry
• You’ve worked with accounting software tools like NetSuite and Coupa
• You have experience in analyzing and interpreting big data
• You have a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
