Summary

Join Derivative Path, a private equity-backed technology firm, as a Senior Accountant. This key role within our four-person Finance and Accounting team requires a strong accounting background and excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis, day-to-day bookkeeping, overseeing AP and AR processes, and supporting financial audits. The position offers a fully remote work environment and a competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with private equity-backed companies and Netsuite is preferred.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in private equity backed company
  • 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Day-to-day bookkeeping, including cost accounting
  • Oversee AP and AR process
  • State and local tax reporting
  • Support financial audits
  • Assist in budgeting process
  • Projects directed by CFO
  • Maintain employee commission records
  • Research technical accounting matters

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with financial audits
  • Experience with accounting for multiple entities and business units
  • Experience with AR and AP process
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Preferred if CPA
  • Preferred if experience with Netsuite and Bill.com
