Senior Accountant

Summary

Join Maven Clinic as a Senior Accountant and contribute to the growth of a leading virtual clinic for women and families. You will play a key role in building out finance functions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and scaling the accounting team in a high-growth environment. Responsibilities include supporting the month-end close process, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, overseeing expense reimbursements, assisting with tax filings, acting as an accounting business partner, supporting audits, and building operating procedures. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA or progress towards CPA, and at least three years of progressive work experience. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
• CPA or working towards CPA
• Minimum three years of progressive work experience
• Proficiency with advanced formulas in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite applications
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp focus on details
• Ability and desire to build and cultivate strong relationships with team members and internal

Responsibilities

• Support the month end close process including closing entries, account reconciliations and analysis
• Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain detailed and accurate supporting workpapers
• Oversee operations for expense reimbursements and business purchasing programs
• Assist with tax filings and payments necessary for compliance
• Act as an accounting business partner for various cross-functional departments across the organization
• Provide support with audit requests and deliverables
• Assist in building out operating procedures and controls to support the company’s growth
• Ability to identify opportunities to increase efficiency via process improvements, automation, etc
• Perform other special projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in telehealth or high growth startup
• Experience using Oracle NetSuite and/or Zip P2P
• Big 4 accounting experience
