This Sr. Accountant position offers a chance to make a direct impact on a growing operation. Responsibilities include financial tasks (20%), AP/AR/accounting tasks (70%), and tax-related tasks (10%). The role requires 5 years of general ledger accounting experience in a multi-entity environment or 3+ years as a Sr. Accountant/Assistant Controller for a mid-size business. A Bachelor's degree in accounting (or finance) is required, and a CPA designation is a plus. Requirements

  • 5 years of general ledger accounting experience (private/corporate environment) in multi-entity environment or 3+ years of experience in the sr accountant /asst. controller role for a mid-size business
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (or Finance) required
  • Microsoft Excel intermediate level (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
  • Strong mathematical/analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Debt s/sheet, track all notes, summarize covenants, reporting reqs, guaranty and default provisions
  • Maintenance of Equipment Sales and Contracts folder
  • Tracking and monitoring equipment purchases via onboarding checklist
  • Assist with new accounting system implementation and staff training
  • Manage Employee Loans/payment schedules
  • Assist with documenting departmental policies and procedures
  • Coordinate credit card expense tracking process; monitor bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Conduct balance sheet and income statement account reviews and reconciliations on a monthly basis (Muller, DFM and related entities
  • Conduct regular intercompany reconciliations
  • AR Check deposits and check/ACH daily recording in QB
  • Maintenance of various schedules (Insurance coverage s/sheet for all entities, prepaid and accruals
  • Record new loans and equipment purchases in QB
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Conduct quarterly and annual closeouts
  • Conduct soft monthly closeouts, incl. intercompany reconciliations
  • Backup AR/AP functions, as needed
  • Assist with training current staff members
  • Ad-hoc reporting tasks and analysis
  • Assist with filing Personal Property tax returns
  • Assist with yearly financial review and tax preparation with accounting firm
  • Assist with R&D tax credit tracking and yearly filing
  • Assist with annual 1099 filing process

Preferred Qualifications

CPA designation is a plus
