Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a SaaS and technology environment
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounting, including preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and conducting variance analysis
• Manage the monthly and annual financial close procedures, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with established deadlines
• Review and analyze financial statements to ensure they are accurate, complete, and compliant with GAAP and company policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Assist in preparing audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process
• Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
• Manage and optimize accounting systems and workflows, including assisting in projects related to system implementations and upgrades
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and other regulatory standards
• Provide mentorship and training to staff accountants and offshore teams, including managing and coordinating tasks for the offshore team in India, fostering growth and development
• Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring consistent quality and compliance
