Senior Accountant

Summary

Join SimSpace's Finance & Accounting team as a Senior Accountant! This role involves managing the accounting system, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supporting tax filings and audits. You will own the monthly close process, reconcile accounts, perform fixed asset accounting, and collaborate with other team members. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred), at least 3 years of accounting experience (SaaS experience a plus), and proficiency in NetSuite. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Proficiency in NetSuite
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
• Effective time management skills

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process in NetSuite
• Post monthly journal entries for revenue, expense, and balance sheet accounts
• Maintain offline close schedules in Excel
• Reconcile accounts and make adjustments as necessary
• Perform fixed asset accounting and related roll-forward analyses
• Ensure financial statement accuracy
• Collaborate with AR/AP specialist to ensure payables and invoices are handled in a timely manner
• Ensure relevant AR/AP activity is properly captured in NetSuite
• Support annual corporate tax filings
• Complete monthly and quarterly sales tax and annual 1099 filings
• Support annual audit
• Interact with external technical accounting advisors, tax team, and auditors
• Support and implement process improvement and automation projects
• Work with leadership to establish and implement internal controls
• Support special projects
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA
• SaaS experience
• Exposure to multi-national corporations
