Join Temporal Technologies as a Senior Accountant and play a key role in driving operational excellence and shaping financial processes. Reporting to the Controller, you will manage accounting operations and vendor spend across key systems, establish process documentation, and implement controls. This position requires an experienced accounting professional with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively. You will actively participate in day-to-day accounting activities, prepare financial statements, analyze financial data, and assist in tax preparation and compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of progressive accounting experience in technology companies and advanced Excel skills. Requirements
- Bachelors or Associateโs degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting preferred
- At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience in technology companies
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Bill.com, and Navan expense management platform
- Utilize good judgment with the ability to learn on the fly, can be nimble and able to work independently
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- A service-oriented mindset when dealing with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry
- Resourceful, self-motivated with a sense of urgency and strong work ethic
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present results of analysis
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the day-to-day accounting activities of the company, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements or other financial reports ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, relevant regulations, or the companyโs policies and procedures
- Analyze financial data, identify opportunities to enhance accounting procedures and internal controls
- Assist in tax preparation and compliance, including tax returns and audits
- Contribute to the implementation of new or enhancement of existing accounting systems, programs, and procedures
- Assists in technical accounting research
- Manage the vendor set-up process, review, approval, and processing of vendor invoices, ensuring all invoices have been received, properly coded, and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable ledger to ensure accurate and timely payments. Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and handle payment inquiries timely and effectively
- Manage the review and processing of Navan expense transactions and international employee expense reimbursements, ensuring all transactions have proper documentation according to company policies and procedures
- Prepare and distribute reports on accounts payable activities as needed. Maintain vendor files including W9 forms and preparation of annual 1099s. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and other regulatory requirements
- Proactive approach to identify potential issues and lead efforts to improve the accounting and AP processes, increase efficiency and improve reporting
