Summary

True Zero Technologies LLC is seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will manage financial transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting, as well as lead audits, develop accounting policies, assist in budget preparation, and manage payroll processing. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role
  • In-depth experience working with the Unanet accounting platform is essential
  • Proven track record of managing financial statements, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for a mid to large-sized company
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP , cost accounting, and federal accounting policies as well as other accounting principles, with the ability to apply these principles in a practical business context
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering an environment of growth and development
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments and with external partners
  • Proficiency in other financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily activities of the accounting department, ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with legal and company policies
  • Work in the Unanet platform to create new accounts, projects, rate structures, users, bill codes, and financial reports
  • Perform complex reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management
  • Coordinate and lead the audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure the audit is completed timely and efficiently
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve financial processes and internal controls
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial planning, providing insights and forecasts to support business decisions
  • Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all employees
